How To Send the State or Regional Sweepstakes Point Report By Email

Unlike your Specialty Club Reports, your state sweepstakes points keeper probably tracks ARBA display points rather than specialty club points.
Therefore, you will typically send the Display Points by Breed Quick Report and not the normal individual specialty club reports.

NOTE: Some states award extra points for BOB, BOS, etc. If your state does (or you're in doubt) you'll need to send the All Specials quick report too.

These instructions detail how to send this (or any) Quick Report in a step by step manner.

Here are brief instructions for those familiar with exporting reports and navigating file directories:

To send the Display Points - Breed Quick Report by email.

Note: Quick reports are sent as HTML reports (web pages) rather than PDF reports.
  1. Select the Quick Reports tab #6.
  2. Select the Display Points - Breed tab along the left.
  3. Click the Export Grid as HTML button at the top of the report.
  4. The report will be saved and a dialog will appear. This dialog will:
    • Identify the directory and name of the saved report.
      (the report is a web page so it has an .html extension.)
      Note that this same file location is also shown in the status bar of the Show Program.
    • Provide an option to preview (open) the report in your default browser or to close the dialog.
  5. Now you compose and send a "normal" email to your sweepstakes points person with your saved .html report attached.
    Be sure to identify in your email which show(s) the attachment(s) are for.
    ex: "This is for the NCRBA 2003 Spring Open Show A"
  6. If your sweeps organization awards extra points for BOB, BOS, etc. then ALSO send the All Specials quick report too.
    If in doubt, go ahead and send both. It's easier for you sweeps person to ignore one than have to ask each time.
You can send any of the quick reports by following this method after selecting the desired report.

Here are the instructions with some screen shots to guide you.

Steps 1 and 2: Start the Show Program, select the Quick Reports tab #6, and select the "Display Points - Breed" tab.

Also note that after the report has been exported the file's location is shown in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.


Steps 3 and 4: Click the "Export Grid as HTML" button to save the report. (See the red arrow above.)
After the report has been exported you'll see an option dialog.
The dialog shows you where the report was saved and provides an option to preview the report in your browser.

If you click the "Yes" button a preview of the report opens in your browser.


Step 5: Using your preferred email client, compose and send an email to your sweepstakes person with your report attached.
